A Sweet Piece of Flesh

A sweet piece of flesh
Laced with a serpent kiss
The snake charmer speaks
Whispering sweet nothings
He requires my heart
Conquered by his touch
Bewitched by his smile
Enchanted by his words
He steals my noble soul
I am his, evermore

The Feels

... and while she waited, Silence fell. This above all else, broke her heart...
She said, "I am happy, can't you see my smile?"
Then she replied, "But the moon is lonely without the sun."
He gently kissed her hand, and ran his thumb across the knuckles as he held it and said, "I don't know what to say." She looked at him then. "Not to worry," She replied as she softy touched his face with her fingertips, "I know what this is and what this is not. I've always known."
And just like that, she picked up the scattered pieces of hopes and dreams of what could have been and blew them in to the wind of what will never be.
In that moment, she finally said "Goodbye ...."

It Was Beautiful

I pour my heart
Into a paper cup
And ask for one more day
To say all that I have kept
To myself,
Hidden in my heart
Today, I weep
For all the unspoken truth
Between us
In the silence
My love for you continues
Because my reality was so plain
I created this fantasy
It was beautiful

Some Where

Some where in the dark quiet

Where my weakness lies

The gilded red satin flows

And a tarnished steel blade rests

A silver coin for the boatman

On a wooden raft I go across

Swiftly through an endless black sea

Embraced by the God of Death

Welcomed to His hallowed halls

A lost girl, I am no longer

For I have found my home

Some where in the dark quiet

Hurry Home Dear Papa

(circa 2006)

Hurry home dear Papa
The sheep are out wandering
And the garden needs tending
The hearth fire needs stoking
And the elements need evoking

Hurry home dear Papa
There are rituals to be writing
And Sabbat songs to be singing
There are lips that need kissing
And skyclad pagans to be greeting

Hurry home dear Papa
The full moon is brightly shining
And the patchouli incenses is burning
The whole lot of us are here waiting
And Black Candles need drinking

Hurry home dear Papa

nothing more, nothing less

(7-10-04)

you really like being disconnected
no ties, no responsibility
no plan, no association
forgive me because I got
so close that I became comfortable
and started to relax and be myself
I was misinformed by your actions
because it seemed we had
a connection between us
all you had to do was
speak up, talk to me
I don't need to be placated
by anyone, least of all by you
all I ever asked for
was honesty between us
nothing more, nothing less

Conversations With Love Songs

(7-7-04)

  • love is like oxygen
  • all you need is love
  • you light up my life
  • you were made for me
  • i've had the time of my life
  • you're my soul and my life's inspiration
  • i got you babe
  • i would do anything for love
  • how wonderful life is, now you're in the world
p.s. you can leave your hat on

a girl loves a man

My Morning Sun,

I dreamed of you like Knights in white satin,
a good man that carries my favor
as you ride into battle

I hold my breath when you
are near and can not breathe
when you are not at my side

I see my true heart through Shadow's veil;
holding me fast with your ice,
yet setting me ablaze with your fire

I already have your heart,
you gave it to me the first time in May,
when I gave you mine

I have looked into your
sparkling eyes of desire and have seen
my own wanty pleasures reflected

I shall be yours always because
you ping my metaphysical radar
lightening it up like a starry night

Love Always,
Your Nordic Beauty

The Crab

(10-28-04 college writing assignment: Go to the beach, pick an object and write about it: I saw a dead crab)

Becoming one with Death
Is to welcome the essence of Life.
The soul joins the twinkling stars
Ending all struggle and strife.

No more worries. No more searching
Just one last encompassing breath
The toil has ended and enlightenment has come
For that which was Life, is now Death

I joyfully go to be among my ancestors
To laugh, to embrace and to see
The journey that is never ending
Like a circle of light enchanting me

United

(December 2003)

In my dreams we are together united as one...
I see your handsome face smiling back at me. your eyes sparkle like the stars in the night sky. I reach for your embrace so desperate to hold you. To love and kiss you like no other person can. For your kisses are so sweet and strong against my lips. My heart aches in anticipation for your tender voice to whisper to me enchanted words of the love and desire I know you feel. I become afraid as my dream begins to fade; when I slowly wake. You are not beside me and I am alone in my bed. But thoughts of you linger in my mind throughout the day. Until I sleep again and find you waitng for me because
in my dreams we are together united as one...

Magick

( October 2003)

One spell, two spell, three spell, four
Some lessons in Magick and lore
Stoke the fire and get it hot
Hang up the big black pot
Add the liquid; make it boil
Sit back and wait, no need to toil
Slowly add the herbs or spice
Stir to the right to make it nice
Infuse it with your energy right
Let it steep under the moon at night
Come morning; go and get the stew
Take you bath and pray your due
To the Divine and only of them ask
That your will be done in this task
Cast you spell to change your life
Mind the Law of Three; or it will end in strife
Remember the Rede and Harm None
For this is how Magick is done

The Irish Gent

(12-17-04)

I think I have ash in my eye
Or is that Kristin's dog I see?
Where is that lovely Irish gent?
Is he looking for me?
Blast these damn tears welling up
Streaming down my face, so free
I search for what I can not find
Lost like a drifting ship at sea
Wading through the cold salty water
I hear buzzing from a bee
Telling me to wait for the Irish gent
Oh where in the hell is he?
What is this under my bed?
It is a stale green pea
I wonder if my Irish gent
Can sing twiddle de dee?
Of course he'll have to find me first
And then, on bended knee
He'll kiss my hand and give me a wink
We will be so very happy, Wee!

The Light Through the Trees

(Yule 2003)

Once upon an evening, I pushed open the door of my humble abode. The season is Winter, the Earth is covered with a white blanket of snow. What is that light I see through the trees? I stepped out onto the ground, my feet are cold but my heart is warm. I walked through the thick pine and fir, bushing against their branches. What is that light I see through the trees? Sweet delicate snowflakes began to fall all around me. I walked to a clearing, so perfectly round and perfectly illuminated. What is that light I see through the trees? A wonder I saw that very moment in the Winter moon, beaming so bright; for there was the Goddess in all her splendor. I danced, for I heard music in my ears I basked in the twinkling streams of light I honored and worshiped and loved the Goddess with my endeavor. My heart so filled, I could slumber for  eternity beneath her soft glow. But the whisper on the breeze tells me I must now go. I walked back through the forest to my home. I carried with me the Light...

The Light I saw through the trees

night shadow

night shadow

i can hear your laguther in the rain
Valhalla can be seen, when i look into the clouds
lightening flashes and thunder cracks, Bifrost, the rainbow bridge, appears
i call to you, my warrior, and your voice answers
like soft whispers of the north wind speaking with a lover's words
a man has duties, a man must fight, but you are my heart,
 i hear your words

waiting for you to return from your quest, i dream of you nightly
thru the mists of the Veil i can feel your presence, my heart aches for your touch
longing to be in your embrace and feel the warmth of your skin next to mine
oh dear sweet warrior, your time to shine is upon you, your moment is epic
know that i am strong and this separation will not break me
for my heart grows fonder of you

Love of the Moon

Long ago, Magena, the Moon Goddess hung in the night sky and smiled upon my people. Time passed and she did her nightly dance, through the cycles of the moon, she would appear in full light and bestow blessings of our greatest desires and when she did not appear, we took reprise and reflected, taking stock of our lives, during the time of darkness.

Magena looked down one night as a tribes woman gave birth to Wynono, the baby was strong, handsome and destined to greatness, for he was the Chief's son. Magena watched Wynono grow and during this time, my people prospered and there was great joy felt by all.

Etu, the Sun God thought this was because of him. His strength was great, his power immense and he loved Magena and wooed her through his power to make things grow and helped his people live and abundant life. He didn't know Magena was in love with Wynono.

One night after the moon returned from the darkness, Wynono now a man, but not yet chief, was awoken from sleep by a lovely humming noise, a beautiful song. He followed it to the river, where Magena appeared to him in mortal form. She was lovelier than the women of our tribe, her hair was pale and it glistened with silver and her skin was pale like the snow and it was glowing like moonlight. Magena smiled and sang to Wynono. He felt overwhelmed when he embraced her and kissed her and made love to her until dawn came.
Each night Wynono met Magena and made love by the river.

Etu began to become suspicious when Wynono began sleeping in the day and noticed Magena glowing more brightly even in the daytime. One evening, Etu stayed in the sky longer than he'd ever done before. But Magena didn't notice because she had to see Wynono, she had glorious news to tell him. Magena didn't even wait till Wynono was asleep to call him to the river. Wynono came to her and he noticed the change in her, she was with child, her belly swollen round. This made them very happy, but  it made Etu very angry.

The next morning, as Wynono lay at the river bed, not yet sleepy from his night with Magena, Etu came to Wynono. Etu threatened him, but he refused to stop loving Magena and so in an envious rage Etu cursed Wynono and all of his seed to be born with the burden of this curse. This frighted Wynono and he ran home.

The next night, during the full moon, Magena waited by the river bed for her lover, but he didn't show. Magena sang and sang yet only a robust black wolf came from the forest clearing to the river. The wolf didn't speak, for he didn't have words. Only yelping and baying came from his mouth. Nights passed and this continued. Magena's belly kept growing and every evening her heart would break and every night the wolf would cry out more, but Magena ignored him.

She became very distraught and stayed in the day to find Wynono. When she did see him by the river as he transformed in the dawn's light, she cried. He told her that he'd been cursed to live as a wolf at night and man during the day by Etu and feared for his unborn child.

Wynono was cast out from this tribe for this, banished he lived in shame. When Magena gave birth to Jacy, she gave him to Wynono to be raised as a mortal. Jacy appeared to be normal; the curse it had seemed not to be passed on. Upon his 15th year, Jacy awoke one night to song and he ran to the river bed. His mother, Magena was there and she told him about the curse and that she tried to have it lifted, Etu was very jealous but he loved Magena, so he consented that Wynono's line would only be cursed during the full moon. Jacy was very angry and hurt.

Magena pleaded with him to bring his father to the river bed, she missed him dearly. Jacy and Wynono came to the river the next full moon, in their wolf form. Magena cried and the wolves howled. She said her goodbyes and promised to always look after their children, for she knew their line would be many and great.

And so it was and so it still is today, Wynono and Jacy lived long past their respective ages and married others and had many sons and so the pack grew like Magena said. One night Magena came to Wynono and his son and told them it was time to leave the earthly plane and join her in the sky.

Mermaids

one two three
listen to the sea maidens call

hook line sinker
the ocean faring vessels will fall

a button a button
the siren's song does ensnare

who has the button
sea sailing men best beware

tick tock
their loveliness and beauty traps

click clack
against ragged rocks ships collapse

stitch in time
embrace the lady, lie in her watery bed

does save nine
for when morning comes, you'll surely be dead

L O V E letters

Dear St. Valentine,

I know your special day has come around once again, but before you deliver my man in a blue box, might I make a few addendum's, suggests, ok, requests if you will...

Legends say a kiss is a terrible thing to waste and I don't wish to be cavalier with delicate tokens of affection. But I also recognize that Love lasts the length of a man's penis, so please dear Cupid, heed my words...

Please realize, I don't need candy hearts, paper flowers, packages tied up with string, chocolates, love songs, sentimental words or other romantic things. Jewelry is always nice, perhaps a pearl necklace...

If you insist and must stab me with your steely knife, poke me with your lover's thorn, that bespelled tipped arrow; let Needle be pressed against my lusty bosom, may it prick my wanty heart, setting my love free to flow like a crimson tide...

I beg of you, don't bore me with a dragon slaying knight, an archer robbing the rich to give to the poor or some dashing gunslinger saving me from a dastardly evil villain...

Instead give me a beautiful Viking, cunning as a fox, with a warriors mind and a lovers heart and eyes that sparkle like a vampire. May he be my Sun and Stars and I will be his Moon til the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. Let our unconventional  love last an enternity...

                                                                                                           Sincerely yours,
                                                                                                            A Hopeful Romantic

Intoxicated Heart

proclamations of undying love
occupy a sober man's mind
but his intoxicated heart beats
drunk on a mere thimble full
flicking like an asp's tongue
charming words escape his lips
he worships at her sacred temple
to honor the God of tits and wine
tokens of his carnal affections
left upon her delicate neck
the serpent's venom spills forth
to fill the body and poison the senses
the damsel can not escape, torn asunder
by his declaration of wantonness and desire
only to wake in the early morning light
with no memory or feeling because
a sober man ignores the intoxicated heart
